Pie: Chicken Balti
Comments: Final Pie review of the season. A chicken balti special from the depths of Wales on the final day of the season. A flaky dry top left me pessimistic about the whole pastry, coupled with being lukewarm things looked grim. Almost as surprising as Fulham scoring 3 away goals the pie turned out well. A tasty, chunky filling made up for initial concerns. Yet still not a very exciting conclusion to another season of pie reviewing. Probably the pastry equivalent of Dirk Kuyt – not much to look at on the surface but does a solid job in the end.
